Unit 1: Digestion 

We will learn:

• The basic functions and parts of the human digestive system

• To identify the functions of teeth and compare and contrast the teeth of different animals.
•         

• To constuct a variety of different food chains identifying producers, predators and prey.

Unit 2: Changing States

We will learn:

• How to compare materials according to whether they are solid, liquids or gases.

• To measure and record temperature

• Observing the changing states of matter                                                                                                                                            
• About the water cycle                                                                                                                                                                
• How to investigate solids, liquids and gases and record observations including fair testing.

Unit 3: Electricity

• Can identify household appliances that use electricty
• Can classify appliances (mains/battery)
• Can name components in an electrical circuit
• Can create an electrical circuit with cells, bulbs, wires, buzzers and motors.
• Can predict whether a bulb will light in a circuit.
• Can add a switch to an electrical circuit
• Can explain health and safety rules when using electicity.
