We love learning about the past!

This year we will be expanding on our knowledge of key historical events.

We start the year learning about the Ancient Egyptians;

• we are discovering how the Ancient Egyptians's lived,

• which Gods they worshipped 

• Why they built the Pyramids and what they looked like inside;

• Hpward Carter's descovery of the tomb of Tutankhamun.

• Pupils will be learning about the process of mummification and even have a go at wrapping each other up like a mummy.                             

• The pupils have enjoyed looked at some replica artefacts, making hisotirical observations and inferences;

In the Spring term we will learn about the Romans and the importance of the Roman empire on the world.

We were visited by Marcus, the Roman Soldier, and spent the morning leanring how to be a Roman Soldier.

The children learnt about life in Roman Britain and the impact of the Romans have had on our way of life.
